Who:  Open to all youth ages 8-18 (through August 18, 2017)

When:  Monday-Friday 3:00pm – 6:30pm (After School Program) & 8:30am – 5:30pm (Summer Program and Day/Weekly Camps)

Where:  12500 SW Allen Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97005 (Beaverton Activity Center)

In the 2017-2108 school year, PAL after school programming will be located at Chehalem Elementary School.

K & 1st grade students will be welcome to join PAL at Chehalem.

PAL will open early (1:00 pm) on Wednesday early release days.

Why:  Great opportunity to meet new people while enjoying the activities that you like.

Costs:  PAL Membership Fees are $250 per child for families who provide documentation of qualifying for free or reduced price school lunches or food stamps.  Membership Fees are $450 per child for families who are not eligible for free or reduced price school lunches or food stamps.  The membership fee covers a child’s access to after school programming each school day, September through June.  Families who pay in full will receive a $25 discount per child.  Families also have the option of making payments for the membership fee during the child’s first four months in the program.  Non-school days and winter camp are additional costs.  Summer Registration costs vary.

Volunteer

If you like kids, this is the place for you!  Mentoring opportunities are available, or maybe you have a special hobby or talent you’d like to share with our members.  We have many opportunities from arts & crafts and the Computer Clubhouse to Field Trips and Summer Camp.  Interested volunteers must be dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment with school-aged children.  To volunteer fill out the application and bring it to the Beaverton Activities Center.  All volunteers over 18 must fill out a volunteer application and successfully complete a background check.  Questions  Contact bruce@beavertonpal.com or 503.460.9137.

HIGH SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS

High school students who are seeking school credit are welcome to volunteer their service hours at PAL.  Students will need to present an official school letter showing the need for community service hours for  school credit.   After presenting your letter, you will be interviewed by a team member to determine how your skills and interests will provide the best fit and most meaningful experience.
