The Beaverton Police Activity League (BPAL) Golf Marathon will benefit the programs of BPAL and our mission to strengthening the relationship between kids, cops, and the community.
This may sound crazy, and you may think we’re nuts, but WE NEED YOU to smash 100 golf balls with us on Saturday, Jan 13, 2018 from 5 – 8 pm at Topgolf in Hillsboro. With nominal participation from 25 Champion volunteers our goal is to raise $50,000 in the next several weeks to support BPAL and help provide the resources needed to set the foundation for our beginnings of PAL at Chehalem Elementary School.
We promised you this will not take a lot of your time. We have made a commitment and need your help! We need you to join our team making the following three commitments:
THREE PARTICIPANT COMMITMENTS:
- Put Saturday, Jan 13 on your calendar to join us at Topgolf from 5 – 8 pm to smash 100 golf balls and enjoy indulgent fun and food!
- Sponsor yourself for $100 ($1/ball) or more, payable in advance, and strive for a fundraising pledge goal of $2,500 or $1,000.
- Give the ultimate effort to contact 25-35+ friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, etc., asking them to sponsor you and strive for your pledge goal. This is much easier than you think, as people will be more than happy to support your effort and the goals of BPAL. This can be done in less than 5 hours (and we’ll show you how).
People give to people…so all you have to do is ask, and together we can make a big difference!
You can also be a “Team Captain”. We need 6+ Team Captains to accomplish the above 1 – 2 – 3 above and put together a team of four participants (including yourself) and coach them up to success.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
What if I can’t golf or be there on Jan 13? No problem! Simply be a NON-GOLFING PARTICIPANT. Follow the same plan, pledge $100 (or more) and reach out to your network to get sponsors who will help you help our local youth. We (or you) can get someone else to fulfill your 100-ball challenge, then join us for dinner on Jan 13.
How is this organized? This is a well-organized and fun campaign. The Golf Marathon website is the key to our success. It’s the easy-to-use place where you enter your sponsor’s pledge information, and it does all the administrative work for you. Our site will send them a thank you note, tax deductible letter, and details on how/where they can pay their pledge. Easy as a tap-putt!
